In August 2022, the IDT (=International German Teachers’ Conference) took place in Vienna and was a complete success. At this very inspiring event, thousands of teachers from all over the world meet, make contacts, attend workshops and have the opportunity to present their own projects.
I submitted a poster presentation in Pecha Kucha format on the topic of “Sketchnotes in the classroom” and the preparation turned out to be much more challenging than I had originally thought. Above all, reducing everything I wanted to say on the topic to half a Pecha Kucha presentation (10 slides of 20 seconds each, 3 minutes 20 in total) was a real challenge. And I had never designed a poster in A1 format before… It was all very exciting, but in the end it worked out well and I was even asked to write a short contribution for the conference proceedings.
